Specialities
Most of the time I am working as an FX Artist / FX TD and I’m a specialist for Fluids, Particles & Dynamics. Everything like smoke, water, particle effects, fire and explosions are my favorite tasks. Furthermore I’m a 3D Generalist and do tasks like Lighting/Shading and Rendering. For commercials I’m often responsible for producing shots from storyboard to finalization, which includes finding the desired look&feel, creating dynamic camera angles and focusing on the keypoints of the respective product.
3D Toolset
I’m mainly working with 3DS Max and Houdini, in which my FX workflow in 3DS Max is heavily based on plugins like PhoenixFD and tyFlow. For lighting, shading and rendering I prefer VRay, but I already started to work with Karma in Production. In the past I was also using Realflow and the 3DS Max Plugins Frost, FumeFX, Krakatoa, Stoke, XMesh and Rayfire.
2D Toolset
I have intermediate compositing knowledge and I’m experienced with Nuke and After Effects. Occasionally I do the final composition by myself, especially for my own full CG shots. For textures and images I’m working with Affinity or Photoshop.
